PO&T Commercial Asset Development Leader

Biogen (Switzerland) seeks a PO&T Commercial Asset Development Leader in Baar, CH, to drive asset strategy, lifecycle planning, and cross-functional portfolio management.

This position serves as a key member of the Asset Development & Portfolio Management (ADPM) team, delivering cross-functional guidance for commercial assets. The role is responsible for overseeing asset management development, including strategy, supply, and life cycle planning. It represents a high-impact leadership opportunity that directly influences asset value creation and broader portfolio decisions. The position is hybrid and can be based in Cambridge, RTP, NC or Baar, Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a five-year PO&T Asset Strategy, while maintaining an 18-month rolling Tactical Plan.
• Lead the cross-functional PO&T Asset Team to ensure cohesive execution of the Asset Strategy and Tactical Plan.
• Act as the liaison and representative for PO&T on R&D Program teams and PDC teams.
• Address and manage conflicts related to the Asset Strategy in consultation with the PO&T Governance Committee.
• Track and assess asset-related impacts on financial metrics such as COGS, E&O, and OPEX.
• Develop business cases for significant Asset initiatives and secure endorsement from the PO&T Governance Committee.

Requirements

• BS or equivalent in Sciences/Eng with an advanced degree (MS, PhD, MBA) preferred in a relevant biopharmaceutical discipline.
• Minimum of 12 years experience with a focus on matrix management.
• Track record of effective matrix leadership experience in the setting of program teams across the full product life cycle.
• Alliance management experience, preferably global; understanding of business contracts and management.
• Experience with CMC, supply chain, or LCM development extending from IND to NDA/BLA.
• Experience in healthcare/biotech/pharmaceutical industry with a demonstrated understanding of cross-functional interdependencies.
