Associate Medical Director, Cardiology , with Metabolic Diseases and Nephrology Experience

IQVIA AG seeks an Associate Medical Director with Cardiology, Metabolic, and Nephrology expertise to provide medical and scientific advisory services for clinical projects in a remote capacity.

This position acts as a central medical and scientific resource across all IQVIA divisions. The incumbent supports the entire project delivery lifecycle, offering therapeutic guidance to business development efforts and serving as the primary medical advisor for assigned studies.

Responsibilities

• Act as the Global Medical Advisor for designated projects.
• Guide Project Leaders on medical and scientific matters.
• Support investigative sites and staff with protocol-related inquiries.
• Review protocols, Investigative Drug Brochures (IDBs), and Case Report Forms (CRFs).
• Deliver therapeutic area training to the clinical team.
• Present at Investigator Meetings.
• Review and clarify trial-related Adverse Events (AEs).
• Conduct medical case reviews for Serious Adverse Events (SAEs) when required.
• Provide medical support for the Analysis of Similar Events (AOSE).
• Review Clinical Study Reports (CSRs) and patient narratives.
• Attend Kick-Off, weekly team, and client meetings.
• Be available around the clock for urgent protocol questions from sites.

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an accredited, internationally recognized institution.
• Valid medical license or equivalent in the resident country.
• At least 5 years of experience in clinical medicine.
• Background in clinical trials as an investigator or within Pharma, CRO, or Biotech sectors.
• Board Certification in Cardiology.
• Fluent proficiency in English.

Nice to have

• Experience or knowledge in Phase I studies or early clinical development.
