Swiss Re seeks an Associate Product Controller in Zürich to support fixed income investment strategies through accurate daily and monthly P&L reporting, performance analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. The role requires 3–5 years of experience in financial services and a strong grasp of fixed income markets and reporting controls.
This position supports Swiss Re’s fixed income investment strategies by ensuring precise daily and monthly performance reporting. It sits at the intersection of finance and investments, providing analytical and reporting support across fixed income portfolios to enable informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate daily and monthly P&L reports for senior leadership, including performance attribution and commentary across fixed income asset classes
- Support reporting and control processes for various fixed income products, such as corporate bonds and interest rate instruments
- Act as a primary contact for performance-related queries from Front Office, Investment Reporting, Risk Management, and other internal teams
- Work with business units to ensure P&L reporting is complete and accurate, investigating and resolving discrepancies related to accruals, market changes, and trades
- Collaborate with IT and Analytics teams to improve reporting systems and develop tools that enhance performance analysis and efficiency
- Maintain and improve controls around reporting procedures to ensure consistency, transparency, and compliance with internal standards
- Help analyze market risk sensitivities that affect reported results
- Lead or contribute to cross-functional projects and ad-hoc requests aimed at improving processes, reporting, automation, and strategic insights
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, with 3 to 5 years of experience in asset management, banking, or financial services
- Solid understanding of fixed income markets, including practical experience with corporate bonds and interest rate products
- Familiarity with market risk concepts such as duration, spread sensitivity, curve movements, and hedging
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end reporting and control processes, emphasizing accuracy, transparency, and governance
- Excellent analytical abilities—both quantitative and qualitative—with a focus on data integrity and attention to detail
