Associate Specialist Downstream Operations

Michael Page seeks an Associate Specialist for downstream operations in Luzern. This fixed-term role focuses on GMP-compliant process execution, troubleshooting, and documentation during a peak production phase.

The company is hiring for a project-based position during a high-demand period. The specialist will handle the setup, hands-on execution, and problem-solving of downstream manufacturing processes while strictly adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities

• Ensure strict adherence to GMP principles and Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards within your assigned area.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist in rolling out new technologies, including non-GMP engineering tests.
• Draft, maintain, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and electronic master batch records, while technically reviewing documentation for process transfers.
• Manage material logistics and inventory using SAP ERP systems.
• Participate in sampling tasks and stand by for on-call duties, which may include occasional weekend work, based on production schedules.

Requirements

• Hold an educational degree in a relevant scientific or technical discipline.
• Possess 1 to 2 years of professional experience within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology sectors.
• Demonstrate business-fluent proficiency in both German (C1 level) and English (B2+ level) for effective written and oral communication.
• Live within a 30-minute commute of the Schachen site in Luzern or be prepared to relocate to the area.
• Hold a valid Category B driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle to facilitate on-call responsibilities.
