ABB Power Grids seeks a Senior Value Engineer in Zürich to design data pipelines and integrate process intelligence via Celonis for AI-driven operational insights.
This position sits within a data-driven organization dedicated to enhancing operational performance through deep process insights. Responsibilities
- Construct and sustain dependable ETL pipelines to extract and load data from ERP and CRM systems into Celonis.
- Create optimized data models that mirror end-to-end business processes to support advanced process mining and root-cause analysis.
- Prepare high-quality datasets and features to enable AI and ML use cases such as anomaly detection and predictive analytics.
- Integrate information from SAP, Oracle, databases, and APIs to ensure consistent data availability for analytics.
- Implement AI-powered capabilities within Celonis, including action flows and predictive analytics, embedding intelligence into workflows.
- Optimize Celonis data models and pipelines to ensure scalability for analytics and AI workloads.
- Establish frameworks for data validation, enrichment, and cleansing to guarantee the reliability of reporting and AI outputs.
- Collaborate with Value Engineers and business teams to translate process use cases into scalable data and AI solutions.
- Maintain clear documentation regarding data pipelines, transformation logic, and model dependencies.
- Monitor advancements in Celonis EMS, AI, and data engineering to identify opportunities for enhancing process intelligence.
- Support the development of dashboards and automations to drive measurable business outcomes.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in Data Engineering, including building and managing data platforms and ETL processes.
- A minimum of two years of hands-on experience with Celonis to drive business insights and operational improvements.
- Proven experience integrating and working with large-scale ERP environments like SAP and Oracle.
- Strong expertise in SQL, relational databases, data modeling, and enterprise data flows.
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for data transformation and automation.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, orchestration frameworks, and scalable data architectures.
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts, including predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and classification models.
- Experience preparing and managing data for AI use cases, including feature engineering and model integration.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights while collaborating across teams.
- Excellent English communication skills.
