Chemist R&D

Siegfried seeks a Senior Chemist R&D in Evionnaz, CH. This onsite role combines process engineering expertise with R&D support, requiring a PhD and strong project management skills.

The company is looking for a Process Engineering specialist to provide technical leadership for R&D initiatives, technology transfers, and manufacturing support. This position focuses on optimizing existing facilities and integrating new technologies to ensure successful project implementation and production stability.

Responsibilities

• Act as the engineering lead for distillation, isolation, and separation technologies during process development and scale-up projects.
• Conduct Operational Risk Assessments (ORA) as a key member of the Process Leadership Team (PLT).
• Assist R&D Chemists throughout development campaigns until process validation is complete.
• Offer engineering guidance to the PLT to resolve production issues and troubleshoot manufacturing challenges.
• Work with Production, QA, QC, Project Managers, and R&D teams to create and execute process optimization strategies.
• Maintain strict compliance with EHS regulations, cGMP standards, and internal company procedures.
• Enforce Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), housekeeping protocols, and cleaning standards within the assigned area.

Requirements

• PhD degree in Chemistry.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects with a customer-centric and solution-oriented approach.
• Strong leadership capabilities to align and motivate cross-functional teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
• A scientific mindset characterized by rigor, curiosity, and resilience in fast-paced environments.
• Proven track record of delivering results under pressure.
