WinGD is seeking a Mid-level Claim Handler based in Winterthur, CH, to manage customer claims, maintain ERP data, and collaborate with global teams.
This position focuses on managing the end-to-end claim process for customers, including verification, settlement, and reporting. The role serves as a key support point for purchasing and parts coordination teams while ensuring accurate data management across global operations.
Responsibilities
- Process and resolve customer claims using the claim communication database.
- Update and maintain claim records within the SAP S/4 HANA ERP system.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address claim-related matters.
- Provide ongoing assistance to local and international Purchasers and Parts Order Coordinators.
- Check and validate technical specifications and requirements.
- Prepare regular reports on global claim settlement costs and current claim statuses.
- Coordinate with Claim Handlers in Korea and China to update claim statuses.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of experience in purchasing or claim handling.
- Ability to understand technical and commercial specifications and drawings in English.
- Knowledge of logistics for global transport, import, and export.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with SAP S/4 HANA ERP system.
- Proactive, self-driven, and highly committed work ethic.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across different cultural backgrounds.
- Cost-optimization mindset with good negotiation skills.
