Avaloq seeks a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Architect for Client Advisory in Bioggio. The role focuses on designing secure cloud solutions and supporting sales teams with technical expertise.
The Cloud Infrastructure Architect will partner with commercial teams to shape innovative technology solutions for enterprise clients. This position requires translating business needs into robust cloud architectures while bridging technical capabilities with strategic vision throughout the sales process.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sales and account management teams to evaluate opportunities and shape technical strategies.
- Convert client needs into scalable, secure, and compliant cloud designs.
- Create comprehensive infrastructure blueprints covering compute, networking, storage, security, and recovery capabilities.
- Assist in preparing RFPs, RFIs, and technical proposals, including effort estimation, sizing, and costing.
- Lead technical workshops, collaborative sessions, and client presentations.
- Collaborate with delivery, security, and compliance teams to ensure feasibility and adherence to internal standards.
- Support pricing definition and TCO/ROI analysis.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement of pre-sales methodologies and solution design practices.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience in cloud infrastructure or solution architecture.
- Deep familiarity with at least one major cloud platform, with OCI preferred, though AWS or Azure are also acceptable.
- Demonstrated ability to design highly available and resilient architectures.
- Strong grasp of networking, security, IAM, backup, and disaster recovery.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Background in banking, financial services, or insurance within regulated environments.
- Ability to prepare and deliver executive-level presentations (C-level deck slides).
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
