Avaloq seeks a Senior Cyber Security Specialist in Bioggio to lead threat analysis, incident response, and SOC maturity improvements within a hybrid, collaborative team.
This position operates within the global cyber security operations team, concentrating on the detection, assessment, and mitigation of security threats. The specialist will assist the Head of the Cyber Security Operations Center in enhancing team performance, overseeing planning and documentation efforts, and advancing the maturity of security controls and operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Address daily security incidents and threats
- Correlate alerts and develop monitoring use cases
- Propose and execute security enhancements
- Oversee security services and manage provider relationships
- Contribute to organizational security projects
- Develop team procedures and workflows
- Deliver solutions for threat resolution and incident management
- Evaluate and select security tools to strengthen enterprise protection
- Lead major incident response efforts
- Participate in on-call rotations
- Serve as a technical lead and mentor for team initiatives
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in a SOC or similar environment
- Experience creating playbooks and tuning SIEM use cases
- Expertise in SIEM and EDR solutions
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Oracle)
- Experience in Threat Intelligence Management
- Fluent English communication skills
- Proficiency with Splunk Apps, Enterprise Security, and search language
- Experience with automation and SOAR solutions
- Background in Digital Forensics and Incident Response

- Knowledge of German
- Security certifications such as CISSP or SANS
