Avaloq seeks a Director to lead its Delivery Unit for CH/FL & Europe, overseeing infrastructure teams and vendor relations while driving automation and standardisation across multiple technical domains.
This position is responsible for directing a group of infrastructure experts spanning several key areas. The role acts as the main liaison for external partners and internal stakeholders, ensuring that automation, standardisation, and Infrastructure as Code methodologies are implemented throughout the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and guide a team of infrastructure experts covering Unix, Windows, Database, Network, Middleware, and Kubernetes areas.
- Guarantee that all infrastructure tasks are performed consistently and in line with compliance standards.
- Coordinate the efforts of the local team across various infrastructure initiatives.
- Act as the central contact and final authority for communications with stakeholders and vendors.
- Enforce the use of automation, standardisation, and Infrastructure as Code across all operations.
Requirements
- At least seven years of experience in delivering IT infrastructure projects.
- Deep expertise in at least one primary infrastructure domain.
- Mandatory hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate technical specialists.
- Solid understanding of enterprise change management processes.
- Three or more years of experience leading technical project teams.
- Strong project management capabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in OCI, Azure, or AWS are required.
- Fluent proficiency in both English and Italian.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of German and/or French is considered an advantage.
