Adaptyv, a fast-growing biotech company building AI-driven automated labs, seeks a Community Manager to lead social media, community engagement, and event coordination for its Proteinbase platform and open competitions. Based in Lausanne with hybrid/remote options, the role requires 1-3 years of experience managing technical communities and strong writing skills.
Adaptyv is developing an automated lab infrastructure that enables AI agents to run biology experiments, entering the era of agentic science where AI can design proteins, propose hypotheses, and iterate on results. The company is scaling rapidly to meet demand from biopharmas, AI labs, and techbio firms, and is hiring to support its growing community and public presence.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily social media activity on X and LinkedIn, sharing product updates, customer successes, blog content, conference highlights, and timely field-related posts.
- Manage the Proteinbase community, including newsletters, competition updates, designer features, and the Slack workspace for contributors and participants.
- Lead the participant-facing aspects of open competitions and hackathons, handling applications, rules, judging coordination, and post-event summaries.
- Create public-facing outputs from events, such as leaderboards, datasets, and blog posts.
- Handle incoming community and customer messages, directing technical inquiries to the appropriate team members.
- Collaborate with founders and the science team to determine content priorities, amplifications, and timing based on product development and field trends.
Requirements
- 1-“3 years of experience managing social media, content, or community for a technical company, science-related media, event series, or community platform.
- A clear, distinctive writing style capable of adapting tone across LinkedIn posts, customer responses, and community content without sounding generic or AI-generated.
- Real interest in biology and AI, with the ability to follow discussions in protein design and AI without needing technical explanations.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple channels, partnerships, and ongoing projects, and to create systems for tracking them.
- Comfort with uncertainty, as there is no fixed editorial calendar or playbook—decisions are driven by what’s being developed and what’s trending in the field.
Nice to have
- Existing connections or presence in protein design or AI bio communities.
- Previous experience organizing hackathons or competitions.
- Ability to edit short-form video content.
- Proven success in building a technical community from the ground up.
