As a mid-level Consultant Project Excellence at Arcondis AG, you will independently manage work packages and smaller projects within the healthcare and life sciences sectors. Your primary objective is to apply traditional project management principles to structure, plan, and execute initiatives that adhere to strict scope, timeline, and budget constraints while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Independently manage work packages or small-scale projects, ensuring alignment with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Apply established project management frameworks such as PMI or PRINCE2 to structure and execute life sciences projects.
- Lead specific project components including risk management, stakeholder engagement, and documentation.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and dependencies, proactively resolving issues.
- Support governance processes, including status reporting, steering committees, and regulatory compliance.
- Analyze project performance data to identify process optimizations and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Develop and refine best practices, templates, and tools for project execution in the life sciences sector.
- Evaluate and recommend new project management tools or methodologies to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Participate in lessons-learned exercises to document findings and improve future project execution.
- Build trust with clients by understanding their needs and aligning project outcomes with business objectives.
- Manage day-to-day stakeholder interactions, ensuring clear communication and expectation management.
- Assist in leading client workshops and project reviews, providing structured recommendations.
- Support client onboarding by clearly defining project methodologies and expectations.
- Mentor junior team members on project management methodologies and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success and facilitate knowledge sharing.
- Resolve minor team conflicts and contribute to a collaborative project environment.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Business Administration, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in traditional project management (PMI, PRINCE2, or equivalent) within life sciences or regulated industries.
- Hands-on experience with project planning, scheduling, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Exposure to project governance, compliance, and reporting frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of PMI or PRINCE2 methodologies, including project lifecycle, work breakdown structures (WBS), and scheduling.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or JIRA.
- Ability to track and manage KPIs, budgets, and performance metrics for projects.
- Understanding of operational excellence methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) to improve project execution.
- Experience with resource and capacity planning to optimize project team performance.
- Knowledge of the life sciences industry (pharma, medtech, public health), including regulatory requirements impacting projects.
- Understanding of GxP and compliance considerations in project delivery.
- Ability to engage with clients, lead meetings, and present complex information in an accessible manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and manage expectations with cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify root causes and propose structured solutions.
