KPMG AG seeks a Consultant or Senior Consultant for its Deal Advisory Strategy team in Geneva or Zurich. The role focuses on M&A integration, commercial due diligence, and growth strategy within a hybrid work model.
The KPMG Strategy practice assists clients with major transactions and organizational transformations, including integration, separation, and value creation. This position operates within a global network, collaborating closely with the UK team and the broader Deal Advisory community across all Swiss economic sectors.
Responsibilities
- Participate in diverse strategy engagements covering Deal Execution (such as integration and separation) and Strategy & Performance Transformation (including commercial due diligence, growth, and operations strategy).
- Assist a small team of two to five colleagues in executing client projects.
- Gather and evaluate internal or external data to formulate hypotheses and generate actionable insights.
- Create high-quality reports and presentations to communicate key findings to clients under strict deadlines.
- Engage with client stakeholders through interviews, on-site meetings, and workshops.
- Support business development efforts and contribute to the expansion of the Swiss team by assisting with client proposals.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from a leading university in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or a related field, with excellent academic results. STEM graduates are also considered if they demonstrate strong economic and financial knowledge.
- Solid understanding of accounting and corporate finance to support analysis and decision-making in complex financial transactions.
- Fluency in both German and English, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly in writing and verbally.
- Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving abilities, combined with mental flexibility to handle operational, financial, and strategic topics in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior practical experience in deals, strategy consulting, or investment is preferred.
- Intellectual curiosity, resourcefulness, and a willingness to take calculated risks while being able to challenge leadership effectively.
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in additional languages, particularly French and/or Italian, is considered an advantage.
