McDonald’s seeks a Consultant Technology for its IT Operations team in Crissier, Switzerland. This mid-level hybrid role supports restaurant tech, manages incidents, and bridges operations with internal IT.

This position sits within the IT Operations team, providing essential support for restaurant technologies throughout Switzerland. The consultant serves as a liaison between restaurant staff, external support partners, and internal technical teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex incidents and handle escalations until they are fully closed.
• Conduct root cause analysis and apply lasting corrective measures.
• Guide, train, and oversee external service providers and support partners.
• Create and update knowledge bases, operational procedures, and certification standards.
• Enhance support workflows and improve self-service tools for users.
• Track service metrics to find areas for operational improvement.
• Lead the response to significant incidents that impact restaurant activities.
• Deliver Level 3 technical support, focusing on POS systems and back-office software.
• Explain technical issues in simple terms for non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Approximately five years of experience in IT Operations, IT Support, or a related field.
• Broad IT knowledge with strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Analytical mindset capable of viewing both strategic and operational angles.
• Excellent communication skills for managing stakeholders effectively.
• Capacity to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused attitude with a solution-driven approach.
• Fluency in English and either French or German.

Nice to have

• Background in restaurant operations, retail, hospitality, or franchising.
• Experience supporting POS platforms or critical business applications.
• History of working with external support organizations.
• Familiarity with ITIL principles and DevOps methodologies.
• Italian language proficiency is a plus.
