Core Developer CeFi - Digital Assets

IMC is seeking a Senior Core Developer for its CeFi Digital Assets team in Zug, CH. The role involves designing and optimizing a proprietary, low-latency trading system for cryptocurrency exchanges and DeFi protocols.

IMC has established a strong foothold in traditional finance and is actively expanding into the crypto and DeFi sectors. In this position, you will join the core engineering group to shape the future of their operations. The primary focus is on designing, coding, testing, and refining a proprietary, ultra-low-latency trading system.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to build a highly competitive trading platform that handles market data delivery and order submission.
• Create and implement advanced trade execution and connectivity solutions.
• Contribute to the algorithmic trading strategies team, ensuring automated algorithms directly impact production.
• Enhance system performance by optimizing network access, hardware usage, and code execution.
• Keep up with the latest updates to exchange protocols.

Requirements

• Hold a Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrate excellent programming skills in C++ within a Linux or Unix-like environment.
• Write simple, well-structured, and clean code that is easy to maintain.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of low-level network and system programming, with experience in low-latency systems being ideal.
• Have a solid grasp of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, memory and concurrency models, CPU architecture, operating systems, networks, and performance optimization.

Nice to have

• Experience in statistics, large-scale data processing systems, machine learning, and/or grid-based computing is a big plus.
