Data Scientist (Computer Vision)

Revolution Digital Services AG seeks a Mid-level Data Scientist specializing in Computer Vision to automate compliance processes using advanced AI models in a fully remote role based in Switzerland.

This position sits within the Data Science group, where the primary objective is to tackle intricate challenges through practical, intelligent solutions. The role centers on automating compliance workflows by engineering both online and offline algorithms. The team constructs and launches systems that rely on sophisticated computer vision techniques, such as identity verification and facial recognition technologies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with fellow computer vision scientists and engineers.
• Take full ownership of developed projects while receiving guidance from the broader Computer Vision team.
• Design and build new computer vision models to streamline compliance and retail operations.
• Develop solutions using Python and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, utilizing tools such as Jupyter and Docker.

Requirements

• Demonstrated strong background in mathematics and statistics.
• Solid proficiency in Python 3, including experience with computational libraries, object-oriented programming, test-driven development, and multi-processing.
• Strong SQL skills, including handling joins, common table expressions, and functions.
• Expertise in deep learning libraries such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Keras, ONNX, or OpenVino.
• Practical experience with computer vision libraries like OpenCV, Pillow, and Torchvision.
• Understanding of version control, model deployment, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and developer environments.
• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in additional programming languages, such as Java.
• Experience with system design and distributed computing.
• Current knowledge of ViT, Diffusion models, GPT-4, and RetNets.
• Familiarity with HuggingFace, wandb.ai, and paperswithcode.
