Responsibilities
- Develop, train, test, and debug machine learning models, moving them from initial prototypes to reliable, production-grade systems.
- Gather and refine high-quality datasets to support model accuracy and ongoing enhancement.
- Implement cutting-edge computer vision models, incorporating recent innovations where they improve outcomes.
- Bridge applied machine learning and software engineering to deploy vision systems in real-world manufacturing settings.
Requirements
- Solid background in computer science with emphasis on computer vision and machine learning, gained through education or hands-on experience.
- Deep grasp of core ML and CV principles such as training behavior, generalization, bias-variance tradeoffs, evaluation methods, and common model failures.
- Practical experience in training models: setting up training loops, troubleshooting convergence, tuning hyperparameters, and evaluating performance on real computer vision tasks.
- Proven experience deploying a model or computer vision pipeline in production or near-production environments with real users, beyond research or internal projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- High drive to thrive in a fast-moving, dynamic environment.
Nice to have
- Specialized knowledge in visual quality, defect, or anomaly detection.
- Experience with model deployment tools like ONNX and foundational MLOps practices.
- Familiarity with techniques for visualizing model internals and improving explainability.
