Procter & Gamble in Geneva seeks a Data Scientist to build scalable AI and analytics solutions for high-impact business challenges. The role requires strong Python/SQL skills and experience with machine learning and large datasets.

This position focuses on solving significant business problems by converting complex, large-scale data into effective analytics and AI tools. The successful candidate will design, construct, and launch models that utilize machine learning, optimization techniques, and modern Generative and Agentic AI technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Translate vague business inquiries into structured analytics or AI challenges, defining clear hypotheses, success metrics, and evaluation methods.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis, engineer features, and develop models on complex datasets to reveal hidden insights.
  • Create and apply advanced algorithms within machine learning and Operations Research domains.
  • Implement Generative and Agentic AI strategies where they deliver tangible value.
  • Collaborate with Data and AI Engineering teams to productionize solutions in cloud settings, adhering to robust software engineering standards.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of solutions, from problem definition and modeling to validation, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing refinement.
  • Present complex findings clearly to stakeholders, influencing decisions by linking technical outcomes to business impact and trade-offs.
  • Participate in the global data science community by sharing knowledge, elevating standards, and mentoring colleagues.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of delivering data science and algorithm-based solutions that generate measurable business impact.
  • Proficient programming abilities in Python and SQL.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning principles, statistical methods, and experimental design.
  • Practical experience handling large datasets and constructing solutions capable of scaling to production environments.

Nice to have

  • Understanding of Operations Research techniques, including optimization and simulation.
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices such as Git, testing, and CI/CD within DevOps-style workflows.
  • Experience developing and testing applications in cloud platforms like Azure or GCP.
