Procter & Gamble in Geneva seeks a Senior Data Scientist to build scalable AI and analytics solutions. The role demands strong Python/SQL skills, ML expertise, and the ability to drive business impact through data.

This position focuses on solving significant business challenges by converting vast, complex datasets into robust analytics and artificial intelligence systems. The successful candidate will design, construct, and launch models that leverage machine learning, optimization techniques, and modern Generative and Agentic AI technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Translate vague business inquiries into structured analytical problems, defining clear hypotheses, success metrics, and evaluation strategies.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis, engineer features, and develop models on large-scale datasets to reveal hidden insights.
  • Create and apply advanced algorithms within machine learning and Operations Research domains.
  • Utilize Generative and Agentic AI methods to generate tangible business value.
  • Collaborate with Data and AI Engineering teams to productionize solutions in cloud settings, adhering to rigorous software engineering standards.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of solutions, from initial problem definition and modeling to validation, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing refinement.
  • Present complex findings in an accessible manner, influencing strategic decisions by highlighting business impact and trade-offs.
  • Participate in the global data science community by sharing knowledge, elevating standards, and mentoring colleagues.

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional experience in Data Science or a closely related discipline, with a demonstrated history of delivering business results.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience utilizing modern data and compute infrastructure, including tools like Spark.
  • Solid understanding of machine learning principles, statistical methods, and experimental design.
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices, such as version control with Git, testing, and CI/CD pipelines, within DevOps environments.
  • Hands-on experience processing large datasets on cloud platforms like GCP or Azure.

Nice to have

  • A doctoral degree involving AI/ML research or development may substitute for professional experience.
  • Background in Operations Research, particularly in optimization and simulation, is highly valued.
