Drone Operators

INVOLI is seeking a Mid-level Drone Operator in Lausanne, CH, to enable BVLOS and automatic drone operations in complex low-altitude airspace by providing safety services and air risk mitigations.

The company provides safety services to allow robust air risk mitigations to obtain BVLOS waivers or Operational Authorisations in complex airspace. Operational Authorisations in the Specific Category remain difficult to obtain from Civil Aviation Authorities, especially for BVLOS and Automated flights. This role focuses on enabling BVLOS and Automatic Drone Operations in complex low-altitude airspace.

Responsibilities

• Plan missions by analyzing airspace, network coverage, and traffic density to anticipate UAS encounters with manned aviation.
• Conduct pre-flight briefings using real-time low-altitude air traffic data to implement necessary safety measures before take-off.
• Monitor in-flight operations to detect conflicting air traffic and integrate with DAA systems to prevent mid-air collisions.
• Maintain post-flight records of air traffic information to support continuous safety improvements and audit requirements.
• Develop an air traffic detection strategy by evaluating airspace, required infrastructure, safety objectives, and budget investments.
• Install receivers that automatically connect to the INVOLI.live platform for instant access to safety-critical air traffic data.
• Utilize INVOLI.live tools to manage airspace, enhance safety, and fulfill compliance and audit obligations.
• Demonstrate robust tactical mitigation capabilities using reliable surveillance systems capable of detecting all types of aircraft.
