Embedded Software Engineer

Zühlke Group seeks a Mid-level Embedded Software Engineer in Schlieren, CH, to develop embedded software and architectures in agile teams while collaborating with clients and ensuring high engineering standards.

The company is looking for a professional to join interdisciplinary teams and work across various systems, technologies, and industries. The role involves close collaboration with clients to design, test, and deliver products that fulfill their specific requirements, leveraging technology and team spirit to create innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

• Apply solid engineering practices in everyday tasks
• Build embedded software architectures, automation pipelines, and products within agile teams
• Maintain clean code structure, optimize performance, and ensure adequate test coverage
• Interact directly with clients during project execution
• Suggest technical innovations, methods, and principles for project implementation
• Provide support to colleagues within and across different projects

Requirements

• Hold a strong university degree in electrical engineering, computer science, a related discipline, or possess equivalent professional experience
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to software quality, including requirements analysis, design patterns, efficient data structures, unit testing, and documentation
• Prioritize conscious resource usage and real-time software behavior
• Possess proficiency in C and C++
• Have practical experience with operating systems such as Linux or an RTOS
• Be fluent in both English and German, written and spoken

Nice to have

• Experience with Rust
• Experience with programming GPUs or NPUs
