Andermatt Swiss Alps seeks a bilingual Event Sales Specialist to manage hospitality events from enquiry to execution, supporting a year-round destination including hotels and a golf course.
This position supports a group that plans, builds, and develops a year-round destination featuring hotels, villas, a golf course, and a concert hall. The specialist manages events from the initial enquiry through to operational handover, ensuring seamless execution and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee meetings, conferences, banquets, and special events from the first inquiry until operational handover.
- Create customized event solutions and draft professional proposals, quotes, contracts, and reservation confirmations in German and English.
- Foster long-term client relationships by offering expert advice and personalized support during the planning phase.
- Perform site inspections and present event facilities to potential clients.
- Coordinate all event planning details and prepare precise Function Sheets to guarantee flawless execution.
- Collaborate with Operations, Banquet, Kitchen, Housekeeping, Technical Services, and other departments to deliver outstanding events and a seamless guest experience.
- Monitor event setups and facilities to ensure agreed standards, attention to detail, and client expectations are consistently exceeded.
- Identify new business opportunities, strengthen existing client relationships, and actively contribute to repeat business and revenue growth.
- Maintain accurate customer and event information in EMMA/SAP while ensuring all administrative processes are completed efficiently and professionally.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a confident and professional manner.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Good knowledge of MS Office.
Nice to have
- Initial experience in Event Sales, Conference Services, Event Coordination, or within the hospitality industry.
- Experience in preparing proposals and quotations, coordinating events, and managing client relationships.
- Additional language skills.
- Experience with EMMA, SAP, or other event/property management systems.
