Fellow Intern

McKinsey & Company is seeking a Fellow Intern in Geneva to join client service teams for 8-10 weeks, focusing on problem-solving, strategy refinement, and implementing transformations through data-driven insights and actionable plans.

This internship places candidates within client service teams for eight to ten weeks. The position emphasizes moving past standard advisory roles to identify underlying issues, develop practical strategies, and work directly with clients to execute changes.

Responsibilities

• Support specific workstreams aimed at addressing client difficulties.
• Provide solutions that address urgent issues while fostering sustained organizational shifts.
• Identify the root causes behind client strategies and formulate practical steps for improvement.
• Synthesize research, data analysis, interviews, and brainstorming sessions to produce valuable insights.
• Assist clients in resolving issues, adjusting strategies, and carrying out transformations.
• Provide clients with the necessary tools and knowledge to sustain innovation after the engagement concludes.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to start tasks independently.
• Fluent communication abilities in English and the local office language(s).
• Skilled in making rational decisions grounded in data, facts, and logical reasoning.
• Capable of producing work product-focused materials like PowerPoint presentations, Excel models, or articles.
• Exceptional time management to handle responsibilities in a complex and largely autonomous work environment.
• Willingness to work or attend meetings outside of traditional business hours.
• Ability to travel to and work in varying environments that may be challenging.
