Full Stack Engineer - Remediation Agent

Sonar seeks a Mid-level Full Stack Engineer in Geneva to build the SonarQube Remediation Agent, focusing on React/TypeScript interfaces and backend validation.

This position supports Sonar’s mission to lead in AI code review by developing the SonarQube Remediation Agent. The engineer will create transparent, interactive interfaces that allow developers to safely orchestrate autonomous agent executions, while ensuring the underlying backend logic remains valid and performant.

Responsibilities

• Dedicate approximately 70% of effort to React and TypeScript development, designing the interaction layer for the autonomous agent.
• Construct feedback mechanisms that convert developer interactions into actionable telemetry data.
• Create user interfaces that enable safe orchestration of agentic workflows.
• Allocate the remaining 30% to the Agent Core, collaborating with backend teams to ensure suggestions are efficient and align with architectural standards.
• Update existing Java and Python services to enhance agentic logic and overall performance.
• Validate pipelines and drive architectural alignment to guarantee feature reliability and scalability.
• Collaborate closely with a dedicated product manager and UX designer.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience developing web applications using React and TypeScript, with a focus on clean, reliable code.
• Ability to navigate and understand Java and Python codebases to support frontend enhancements.
• Practical knowledge of Git workflows, pull request processes, and platform integrations such as GitHub or GitLab.
• A strong emphasis on developer experience, understanding how engineers review code and what makes tools feel supportive.
• A data-driven approach, prioritizing the rationale behind metrics and building robust telemetry pipelines.
• Experience or interest in Human-in-the-loop systems and agentic workflows.
• A clear perspective on Verification Debt, recognizing that validating AI-generated output is a primary engineering challenge.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with developer tooling, CI/CD platforms, or user interfaces designed for AI workflows.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
