GBS Accountant, Accounts Payable

The company seeks a Mid-level GBS Accountant for Accounts Payable in Switzerland. The role handles daily AP operations, reconciliations, and period-end closing within a global business services team.

This position sits within the Global Business Services (GBS) team, supporting the company's mission to balance humanity, nature, and economic growth by developing sustainable business solutions. The accountant will manage core accounts payable functions to ensure accurate and timely financial processing.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily accounts payable tasks as outlined in the service delivery agreement.
• Processes i-Docs for intercompany and third-party transactions.
• Handles employee expense claims promptly.
• Performs intercompany accounts payable reconciliation.
• Organizes and coordinates payment runs.
• Investigates price and quantity variances for received goods and services, collaborating with other departments.
• Executes period-end closing procedures for accounts payable.
• Assists in transferring activities from legal entities to the GBS.
• Maintains current operations manuals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or an equivalent accounting qualification.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on accounts payable, ideally within a Shared Services Centre.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounts payable processes.
• Hands-on experience with SAP FI.
• Proficiency in SAP and Hyperion for journal entries and month-end cockpit tasks.
• Advanced skills in MS Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Strong understanding of local accounting standards and IFRS.
• Fluency in Korean is mandatory.

Nice to have

• Prior experience working in multinational organizations is advantageous.
