Sanofi seeks a Senior Global Brand Lead for Avapritinib (Ayvakit) in Rotkreuz/Zug, Switzerland. This role leads the global brand strategy and launch execution for a pioneering commercial entity.
The company is establishing a new, entrepreneurial global commercialization center with significant decision-making power over launch strategies. In this capacity, the successful candidate will serve as the Chief Executive Officer for the Ayvakit brand, leading a senior, cross-functional Global Brand Team. The position is based in Zug, Switzerland, and reports directly to the Global TA Head for SM & BPM Integration.
Responsibilities
- Direct the Global Brand Team in crafting brand strategy and ensuring its consistent execution worldwide.
- Define commercial ambitions across short, mid, and long-term horizons, deploying strategies to meet business goals.
- Oversee financial planning exercises, including SP, IBP, and budgeting, to set and achieve revenue, market share, and Opex targets.
- Collaborate with Global Medical and HEVA teams to build integrated evidence generation plans and scientific messaging platforms.
- Work with Global Market Research to execute robust insight generation for launch foundations.
- Partner with New Product Planning to develop the Therapeutic Area Strategy Narrative and support brand Life Cycle Management.
- Articulate a clear brand narrative and align the broader organization around this strategic vision.
- Create global growth strategies and identify market-shaping plans to expand the brand's presence.
- Integrate brand strategies with Sanofi Integrated Launch Capabilities (SILC) for launch simulation and scenario planning.
- Design strategies for diagnosis and patient identification.
- Develop multichannel and omnichannel go-to-market approaches to enhance the brand experience.
- Deliver sales, profit, and market share results within agreed budgetary constraints.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in business, science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of proven success in marketing, product launches, and general management.
- Critical experience in global, US, or Ex-US product launches.
- Essential background in the Rare Disease sector.
- Strong command of traditional marketing and sales disciplines.
- Demonstrated ability in commercial planning, launching, aggressively growing, and managing products throughout their lifecycle.
Nice to have
- Advanced degree such as an MD or MBA.
- Experience building and leading pharmaceutical or biotech commercial organizations with marketing and general management responsibilities.
- Prior experience in Respiratory or other relevant rare disease areas.
