Sobi seeks a Director of Global Brand Communications for Tryngolza based in Basel, CH. This remote, senior individual contributor role oversees the global brand strategy, media partnerships, and cross-functional alignment for launch and lifecycle communications.
This senior individual contributor position is responsible for owning the global brand communications strategy for Tryngolza and leading critical workstreams. The role collaborates closely with the overall asset leadership team to ensure consistent narrative delivery across all channels and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Direct the global brand communications strategy, covering launch readiness, data milestones, and lifecycle messaging.
- Ensure consistent brand storytelling across all platforms and stakeholder groups.
- Collaborate with the Disease State Awareness lead to shape product media strategy, including channel selection and investment decisions.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key international and specialty media outlets.
- Provide guidance to affiliates on local media engagement to guarantee compliance, quality, and consistency.
- Manage the communications roadmap for global congresses, including pre-, during-, and post-event activities.
- Oversee the creation of global congress toolkits and drive local amplification across markets.
- Coordinate with Medical, Investor Relations, and Compliance teams to align on data communication and media engagement.
- Develop and distribute global communication toolkits, digital assets, and campaign playbooks for affiliate teams.
- Supervise the production of high-quality materials such as narratives, Q&As, digital content, and presentations.
- Work closely with country teams to enhance capabilities and ensure high-quality execution.
- Manage agencies to ensure strategic alignment, quality delivery, and efficient execution.
- Partner with Medical and Brand teams to maintain scientific integrity and educational impact.
- Collaborate with Community Engagement to amplify patient voices and strengthen external partnerships.
- Align with Corporate/IR Communications to ensure clarity and consistency in external messaging.
- Lead global insight gathering, including media landscape analysis, social listening, and advisory boards, to inform strategy.
- Define and track KPIs to measure communication effectiveness and optimize impact.
- Continuously refine communication approaches based on data, insights, and evolving market dynamics.
- Drive continuous improvement of communications capabilities across international markets.
- Introduce and scale best practices, including data-driven communications and the use of AI tools to enhance efficiency, personalization, and impact.
- Manage the budget for communication programs, forecast ROI, and reallocate resources for impact while operating to SOPs, industry codes, and corporate values.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in brand communications or PR within healthcare, including pharmaceutical or biotech settings.
- Proven success in leading complex, multi-market communications strategies at a regional or global level.
- Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate business priorities into impactful communications and reputation initiatives.
- Ability to work cross-functionally, lead without authority, and manage complexity.
- Excellent relationship-building skills, capable of fostering trusted partnerships across functions and country affiliates.
- Fluent English and excellent communication and influence across functions, cultures, and seniority levels.
- Strong judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- High energy, creativity, agility, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently while maintaining high accuracy and accountability.
- Proficiency with approval systems and compliant content workflows, such as Veeva.
- Proficiency in digital and modern communication tools; familiarity with AI-enabled content development within company policies is an asset.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% of working time.
