Global Master Scheduler (m/f/d) - Manufacturing Network

The Voith Group Switzerland seeks a Senior Global Master Scheduler to balance manufacturing capacity and drive scheduling standards across its international network.

This position serves as the central authority for manufacturing load and capacity balancing throughout the global network. The role reports functionally to the Global Head of Manufacturing and is responsible for ensuring realistic delivery timelines and efficient resource allocation across all sites.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate global capacities, identify bottlenecks, and track utilization rates across all manufacturing locations.
  • Determine global workload distribution and prioritization strategies in coordination with the Purchasing department.
  • Collaborate with Project Management to provide realistic delivery dates for Order-to-Order (OtO) processes.
  • Prepare clear, decision-ready scenarios for management reviews and escalation meetings.
  • Establish, enforce, and refine global scheduling standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Enhance the accuracy of forecasts and the reliability of production schedules.
  • Track local capacity constraints and risks, including feasibility checks for OtO requests.
  • Execute global workload directives at the local level and support Project Management in Order-to-Cash (OtC) activities.
  • Detect potential risks early and implement necessary countermeasures.

Requirements

  • A completed university degree in industrial engineering, production, operations, or a related discipline.
  • Significant experience in master scheduling within project-based manufacturing settings.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, effective stakeholder management, and the ability to handle escalations confidently.
  • Fluent command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Readiness to work internationally and travel up to 30% of the time.
