Nestlé seeks a Senior Global Procurement Manager to lead category strategy for 3PL warehousing spend across its international hubs, driving standardization and supplier performance.
This position operates on a global scale, coordinating across three dynamic hubs in Switzerland, Panama, and Malaysia. The role focuses on defining and executing the category strategy for third-party logistics warehousing expenditures, leveraging strategic sourcing methodologies to support innovation and ensure standardized processes within the corporate and zone logistics functions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to define the global category strategy for warehousing spend and oversee its implementation alongside local procurement teams.
- Execute strategic sourcing activities, including managing RFQs, supplier performance, standardization efforts, and cost aggregation.
- Conduct market and supply risk analyses while developing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) models to uncover and realize improvement opportunities.
- Onboard and develop new supplier relationships in coordination with logistics standard owners.
- Negotiate commercial contracts to secure favorable terms aligned with category goals, working alongside the legal team.
- Lead ongoing relationships with strategic suppliers within the warehousing category.
- Ensure all activities comply with Nestlé’s corporate business principles and internal standards.
Requirements
- A university degree in Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, or Engineering.
- At least 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, preferably with a global or regional focus, ideally within warehousing, logistics, or 3PL operations.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional projects, driving organizational change, and providing functional leadership.
- Strong background in category sourcing, TCO modeling, risk management, and Supplier Relationship Management, including claims handling.
- Fluent proficiency in English.
Nice to have
- A strong interest in automation, robotics, and emerging technologies, with practical experience using digital tools and AI.
- Proficiency in French or German.
