The company seeks an Executive Head of Internal Audit to lead the Group Internal Audit function in Olten, CH. The role involves strategic planning, risk-based assurance, and team management in a hybrid work model.

This executive position is responsible for directing the Group Internal Audit function. The role provides independent assurance and advisory services to strengthen governance, risk management, and internal controls. The incumbent supports the Audit Committee, Board of Directors, and Executive Management by delivering risk-based assurance and fostering a robust control culture to help achieve strategic goals. The position reports to the Chairman of the Board of Directors, oversees one internal auditor, and manages external co-sourcing partners to execute the audit plan.

Responsibilities

• Establish and roll out an Internal Audit strategy that aligns with Group objectives and risk profile.
• Create and carry out a risk-based annual and multi-year audit plan.
• Conduct audits across operational, trading, IT, compliance, and project areas.
• Deliver independent assurance on governance, risk management, and internal controls.
• Present audit findings to Executive Management, the Audit Committee, and the Board of Directors.
• Track the implementation of audit recommendations and remediation actions.
• Manage the Internal Audit team and external co-sourcing partners.
• Coordinate with External Audit and other assurance providers.

Requirements

• University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in Internal Audit, External Audit and/or Risk Management, including leadership responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of governance, enterprise risk management and internal control frameworks.
• Experience interacting with Executive Management, Audit Committees and Boards of Directors.

Nice to have

• Professional certification such as CIA (preferred), CPA, ACCA or equivalent.
• International and/or energy industry experience is an advantage.
• Proficiency in French and/or German is considered a strong asset.
