Galderma seeks a Director-level Head of Human Resources for the EMEAC region to provide strategic leadership, drive organizational effectiveness, and partner with regional business leaders in a hybrid role based in Zug or London.
The company is looking for a strategic HR leader to oversee human resources across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Canada. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this position partners with regional business executives to shape people strategies that support growth and ensure consistent application of global policies. The role focuses on enabling business success through effective workforce planning, talent development, and organizational design.
Responsibilities
- Create and execute a regional people strategy that aligns with global HR goals and business objectives.
- Serve as the main HR advisor to the EMEAC leadership team, offering guidance on talent and organizational decisions.
- Convert business goals into actionable HR plans, covering workforce planning, capability building, and structure design.
- Manage regional talent processes, including succession planning for key roles and development programs for high-potential employees.
- Lead strategic workforce planning efforts, including decisions on build, buy, borrow, or bot resource allocation.
- Support organizational design and change initiatives to improve performance and collaboration.
- Promote Galderma’s culture and values, ensuring they are reflected in leadership behaviors and daily operations.
- Analyze engagement and pulse survey data to identify trends and risks, collaborating with leaders on improvement plans.
- Coach senior leaders on inclusive leadership, performance management, and effective people management techniques.
- Ensure consistent and compliant implementation of HR policies and employment practices across the region.
- Oversee regional alignment on compensation, benefits, and performance management frameworks in partnership with global centers of excellence.
- Monitor HR key performance indicators such as attrition, internal mobility, and diversity metrics to drive continuous improvement.
- Build strong partnerships with Country HR Heads and global HR centers of excellence to deliver integrated solutions.
- Act as a liaison between global HR and EMEAC countries to ensure two-way communication of priorities and feedback.
- Contribute to global HR projects by providing regional perspective and ensuring effective deployment.
- Lead or support regional change programs, including reorganizations and new operating models, with robust communication plans.
- Drive the adoption of HR systems and digital tools, supporting data quality and user experience.
- Ensure HR practices adhere to Galderma policies, local labor laws, data privacy requirements, and ethical standards.
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Privacy teams on employment-related risk management and investigations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
- Extensive HR leadership experience in complex, multi-country, matrix environments.
- Proven track record as a strategic HR Business Partner to senior leaders, preferably in healthcare, pharma, or consumer health.
- Demonstrated experience in organization design, change management, and talent management at a regional or global level.
- Strong understanding of employment practices across key EMEAC markets and experience working across multiple cultures and legal frameworks.
- Fluent proficiency in English.
