Head of Medical Experts, Therapeutic Dermatology

Galderma seeks a Head of Medical Experts for Therapeutic Dermatology in Zug, CH. This managerial role leads global medical strategy and clinical development for dermatology products.

The company is looking for a senior medical leader to guide the clinical development of Therapeutic Dermatology products. This position serves as the primary medical authority, ensuring that all clinical activities align with quality standards and regulatory expectations while contributing to the Clinical Science Leadership Team.

Responsibilities

• Direct a worldwide group of internal and external medical specialists focused on therapeutic dermatology clinical programs.
• Organize, allocate, and manage resources to meet research and development goals.
• Generate and deliver regular progress reports to executive leadership, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
• Create, teach, and refine standard operating procedures and work instructions for clinical sciences.
• Define medical strategies for clinical development plans, target product profiles, and study protocols.
• Act as the primary medical contact for internal teams and external partners regarding therapeutic dermatology.
• Consult with investigators and contract research organizations on medical issues arising during trials.
• Monitor, analyze, and interpret safety data from ongoing clinical studies.
• Assess the benefit-risk profile of products in coordination with the global safety department.
• Represent medical positions during meetings with regulatory authorities and other key parties.
• Lead the medical review and preparation of clinical Common Technical Document (CTD) submission modules.
• Coordinate with global medical affairs teams to plan and execute publication and clinical communication strategies.

Requirements

• A medical degree is mandatory.
• At least 10 years of experience in drug development within therapeutic dermatology.
• Minimum of 5 years in leadership and management roles conducting clinical trials in therapeutic dermatology.
• Proven experience with regulatory submissions and interactions with health authorities.
• Fluent proficiency in spoken and written English.

Nice to have

• Background as a dermatologist with specific experience in therapeutic dermatology and clinical development is preferred.
