The company seeks a Medical Affairs Lead for Immunology in Zug, Switzerland, to guide medical strategy, manage a team of advisors and liaisons, and oversee budget and talent development within the Immunology division.
This position serves as a people leader within the Medical Affairs Group, specifically supporting the Immunology team that focuses on creating innovative treatments for immune-related conditions. The individual will be responsible for defining medical strategies, ensuring their successful implementation, and aligning these efforts with broader business goals while operating out of the Zug office.
Responsibilities
- Oversee a diverse team that includes Senior Medical Advisors, Medical Scientific Liaisons, and Medical Affairs Managers.
- Direct the creation of the Medical Affairs plan to ensure it matches the EMEA/IBVT medical strategy.
- Handle the associated financial budget for the department.
- Guide and monitor the tactical plans executed by Medical Scientific Liaisons.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide strategic guidance internally and in external professional settings.
- Foster professional growth and coordinate talent development initiatives for the team.
Requirements
- Possess 8 to 10 years of demonstrated experience spanning various professional areas.
- Hold a degree in medicine, pharmacy, or a scientific discipline, with a PhD being preferred.
- Demonstrate extensive understanding of the immunology therapeutic area and the pharmaceutical industry.
- Be fluent in both German and English.
