Senior Director, International Medical Affairs

The company seeks a Senior Director for International Medical Affairs based in Zug, Switzerland, to lead medical strategy and scientific initiatives across European markets in a hybrid role.

This position is tasked with designing and executing medical affairs strategies for a specific therapeutic area. The role involves shaping international medical plans through collaboration with various departments and leading scientific efforts in European countries, both directly and through distributor partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the creation and implementation of international medical plans for the designated region.
• Direct the organization of scientific symposia at major conferences and other educational events.
• Manage medical activities at European congresses, including key opinion leader interactions and advocacy efforts.
• Facilitate and assist in scientific advisory board meetings.
• Deliver scientific presentations at prominent conferences and contribute to final content.
• Act as the International Medical Affairs representative in European Patient Advisory Group interactions.
• Assist commercial teams with brand planning and training materials.
• Provide medical strategy guidance and scientific education support to distributor markets.
• Evaluate externally sponsored research and Phase IV studies.
• Partner with cross-functional teams, including market access and clinical development, to align objectives.

Requirements

• Hold a medical degree, bachelor's, master's, or doctorate from a recognized institution.
• Possess over a decade of experience in the biopharmaceutical sector.
• Demonstrate a solid grasp of regulatory and compliance standards for pre-launch and post-launch activities.
• Thrive in a dynamic, agile work setting.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication abilities.
• Manage project budgets effectively.
• Be highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Be available for domestic and international travel as needed.
