Revolutionmedicines seeks a Director of Medical Affairs for Switzerland to lead local medical strategy, drive oncology product launches, and ensure scientific excellence in Basel.

The Medical Director for Switzerland will serve as the primary medical leader for the company's portfolio in the region. This position is responsible for defining and executing the local medical strategy, acting as the medical voice on the Switzerland Leadership Team, and ensuring alignment between global objectives and local patient and healthcare system needs.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the local medical strategy for the oncology portfolio.
  • Translate global medical strategies into locally relevant plans that comply with Swiss regulations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, oncology networks, and academic institutions.
  • Lead scientific exchanges, advisory boards, and congress engagements at the country level.
  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to contribute to overall medical affairs strategy.
  • Drive medical strategy across pre-launch, launch, and post-launch phases.
  • Provide medical expertise on evidence generation activities, including local studies and real-world evidence.
  • Ensure effective execution of publication plans and scientific communication activities.
  • Lead medical launch readiness, including training and field medical engagement plans.
  • Partner with Market Access and Commercial teams to support value communication and reimbursement interactions.
  • Support lifecycle management activities, including new indications and label updates.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure aligned and compliant execution of country plans.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD).
  • Strong background and experience in oncology.
  • 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs with a track record of country leadership.
  • Proven value and benefit assessment experience, with deep understanding of Switzerland payer decision-making.
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate with internal and external partners.
  • Proven experience supporting oncology product launches in Switzerland.
  • Strong understanding of the local healthcare system, clinical practice, and regulatory environment.
  • Experience in a biotech and/or in a build-out.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in person and virtual.
  • Proven leadership and people management capabilities; demonstrated success in small but fast growing, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Scientific and solution-orientated mindset and capability to move and execute in a rapidly changing, ambiguous environment.
  • Strong understanding of local healthcare systems, customer dynamics, and reimbursement environments.
  • Willingness to travel nationally and internationally.
