Head of IT Services

SUMMIT RECRUITMENT AG seeks a Head of IT Services in Solothurn to lead the shared services division, manage infrastructure, and ensure alignment with business goals and ISO 27001 standards.

The company is looking for a senior leader to direct the IT shared services division. This role focuses on delivering high-quality IT support, managing infrastructure, and ensuring that all technology operations support the organization's strategic objectives, particularly regarding risk management and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Create and carry out the strategic plan for the IT shared services unit.
• Guide the IT team to maintain high standards and drive continuous improvement.
• Work with executive leadership to align IT initiatives with business goals, with a focus on IT Risk and CSV.
• Guarantee the smooth operation of IT services, covering infrastructure, applications, and user support.
• Establish and uphold IT service management frameworks and industry best practices.
• Track service performance metrics to ensure SLAs and KPIs are consistently met.
• Manage IT infrastructure components such as networks, servers, storage, and data centers.
• Maintain the availability, reliability, and security of all IT systems.
• Lead infrastructure projects, including system upgrades and migrations.
• Oversee the IT shared services budget to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Allocate resources efficiently to meet business needs and project demands.
• Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure IT operations comply with regulations and standards, specifically ISO 27001.
• Implement strong security measures to protect company data and systems.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Introduce innovative solutions to enhance IT service delivery.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the IT shared services team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a senior IT leadership role, preferably in a shared services environment.
• Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, service management, and IT Risk/CSV.
• Experience with ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior management.
• Vendor and contract management experience.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree preferred.
