Comet seeks a Head of Manufacturing Engineering to lead Equipment, Process, and Industrialization teams at its Flamatt site, overseeing asset commissioning and process optimization for plasma control technologies.
This position sits within the Plasma Control Technologies division at the Flamatt location, where specialized components for memory chips and touch screens are produced. The role provides technical and disciplinary oversight for Equipment Engineering, Technical Process Engineering, and Industrialization, ensuring that manufacturing assets and processes meet high standards of efficiency and quality.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Equipment Engineering, Technical Process Engineering, and Industrialization departments.
- Manage the full lifecycle of production assets, including design, evaluation, procurement, and commissioning.
- Oversee the industrialization of standard products, implementing lean manufacturing principles, production documentation, and MES master data management.
- Create, maintain, and validate technical manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with Production teams to enhance material flow, handling procedures, documentation, and shopfloor layout through continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
- Fluent written and spoken proficiency in both German and English.
- Minimum of five years of leadership experience within an industrial manufacturing setting.
- Strong capabilities in leadership, project management, and digital tools.
