The company is looking for a leader to design and evolve the operational framework for its Credit & Surety business unit. This position is responsible for structuring how work is performed across underwriting and support functions to enhance efficiency, control, and scalability. The successful candidate will guide a specialized team in driving transformation and aligning stakeholders around clear strategic outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design and refine the end-to-end operating model for Credit & Surety, incorporating artificial intelligence where appropriate.
- Convert business goals into defined processes, service structures, and governance principles.
- Manage technology-driven projects and ensure their successful delivery.
- Spot opportunities for improvement and put lasting solutions in place.
- Detect potential risks and control weaknesses, then lead efforts to mitigate them.
- Monitor performance metrics and foster a culture of ongoing improvement.
- Serve as a reliable advisor to business and functional leaders.
- Promote cooperation across different departments and global regions.
- Ensure all stakeholders understand and agree on the direction and expected results.
Requirements
- Over ten years of experience in financial services, particularly in commercial insurance, reinsurance, or other highly regulated sectors.
- Prior work history in credit insurance, surety, or commercial credit risk management.
- At least five years in operational excellence, transformation, or leadership roles, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional change and deliver results.
- Strong program and project management capabilities, including the skill to influence senior leaders and manage complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives.
- Proven experience leading or co-leading technology and AI projects in roles such as program manager, product owner, or business owner.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and influence leaders across various functions, regions, and cultures.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI-driven process transformation or digital operating model design.
- Background in management consulting or advisory within the financial services industry.
- Familiarity with embedding governance frameworks and controls in regulated environments.
What the company offers
- A base salary ranging from 164,000 to 246,000 CHF for a full-time position.
- Eligibility for a performance-based annual bonus.
- A hybrid work arrangement requiring office presence at least three days per week.
