Baer AG seeks a Team Head for its Data Center of Excellence in Zürich. The role leads a team of 14+ members, overseeing daily operations, process improvements, and strategic transformation initiatives.
The Data Center of Excellence within Global Operations Services focuses on two main objectives: executing essential daily workflows and enhancing them through process engineering, automation, or control mechanisms. In this position, the Team Head will plan and meet performance targets while mentoring and guiding a group of over fourteen specialists.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the team's vision, manage capacity, and oversee daily operations including data quality checks and cleansing.
- Drive team growth by creating training programs and providing ongoing coaching.
- Create a strategic roadmap for transformation projects, including automation, process reengineering, and monitoring tools.
- Determine the appropriate use of available team capabilities and develop access to additional tools and integration options.
- Ensure all solutions are reusable and properly documented.
- Foster skill development within the team to enhance business-as-usual quality and actively support transformation efforts.
Requirements
- Proven leadership and coaching abilities with prior management experience.
- Several years of experience in managing or delivering Banking Operations processes.
- Strong project management background.
- Expertise in process engineering, automation, and data analytics.
- Advanced analytical skills to diagnose and solve complex issues.
- A university degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Finance, Data Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Background in client tax reporting or corporate actions.
- A proactive mindset to deeply understand business processes and spot improvement opportunities.
- Fluency in English and solid German language skills.
- Data and technology literacy, including experience with data analytics and modeling.
