Director, Medical Excellence and Operations

Bridgebio seeks a Director of Medical Excellence and Operations in Zug, CH, to lead medical affairs operations, drive process optimization, and support the launch of therapies for rare genetic diseases.

This position serves as a key member of the Medical Affairs team, reporting to the VP of Medical Affairs, International. The role partners with the Director of Commercial Excellence, International, to ensure the successful launch of new therapies for rare genetic diseases. The director will work across functions to align, streamline, and execute medical strategies with high quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Design and refine medical affairs workflows, including medical information handling.
  • Coordinate medical planning efforts throughout the organization.
  • Drive the rollout and ongoing enhancement of tools like medical CRM.
  • Create and present onboarding materials and ongoing training programs.
  • Participate in yearly medical planning for various brands.
  • Oversee several initiatives, such as medical launch preparation and brand-level planning.
  • Spot and suggest ways to improve processes and introduce innovation in medical operations.
  • Build and maintain reporting systems and dashboards to track key performance metrics.
  • Work with other departments to analyze data and inform strategy.
  • Guide core medical activities across brands, including publications and congresses.
  • Help manage and monitor the medical budget.
  • Head the international Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) review process.

Requirements

  • Medical degree or Bachelor’s in a scientific field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Over 10 years in pharma, with deep knowledge of drug development and clinical research.
  • Track record of setting up and running medical processes like medical information, annual planning, and new system implementations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation abilities.
  • Deep familiarity with systems, platforms, and methodologies, plus report generation.
  • Team-focused approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proven skill in juggling multiple projects and priorities with a sense of urgency.
