Head of Product Management – Power Transmission & Distribution

Stäubli seeks a Head of Product Management for its Power Transmission & Distribution division in Allschwil. This leadership role drives global product strategy and team development to support the company's growth.

This position sits within the Power Transmission & Distribution division of Electrical Connectors, where the primary objective is to ensure reliable and efficient energy transmission. The role is central to executing the company's growth strategy by overseeing the global product portfolio and leading the product management function.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve the global product roadmap for the PTD division, ensuring alignment with market trends and competitive pressures.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the international product management team to meet strategic growth targets.
• Conduct market and competitor analyses to formulate and execute international strategies across product, place, price, and promotion.
• Oversee product development projects, including setting requirement specifications and ensuring commercial viability.
• Manage the full product lifecycle, from technical documentation and market launch to ongoing optimization.
• Collaborate with global sales, R&D, marketing, and business development teams to strengthen customer relationships and expand market presence.

Requirements

• University degree in engineering (electrical or mechanical) or business administration, complemented by strong technical aptitude.
• Proven experience in product management, sales, product development, or project management within an industrial setting.
• Deep understanding of product portfolio management and international market dynamics.
• Proficiency with ERP systems (such as SAP), CRM platforms (such as Aurea), and Office 365.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on motivating teams and strategic alignment.
• Strong analytical skills, customer orientation, and networked thinking.
• Structured, solution-oriented work style with a willingness to travel internationally approximately 15% of the time.
• Fluent command of English.

• Fluency in German and additional languages is considered an asset.
