ABB Power Grids in Zürich seeks a High Voltage Laboratory Tester to test components, analyze data, and maintain lab safety within a 2- or 3-shift system.
This position supports the Product Group Insulation & Components, a global leader in high-voltage transformer bushings. The role focuses on testing critical electrical parts and ensuring reliable data collection for international power generation and distribution clients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct tests on high-voltage components like bushings.
- Operate modern lifting and crane equipment to transport test specimens safely.
- Utilize advanced measuring and testing technologies to collect accurate data.
- Systematically analyze, evaluate, and document test results.
- Participate in developing and improving test setups and methodologies.
- Apply the 6S concept to maintain lab order and safety.
- Adhere strictly to all relevant safety regulations.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training in electrical engineering (EFZ), such as automation, electronics, or electrician.
- Strong motivation to gain practical experience in a technical or industrial setting.
- Willingness to work in a 2- or 3-shift system.
- Independent, structured, and team-oriented working style.
- IT affinity and confidence in working with digital systems.
- Good written and spoken German.
