R&D Testing & Lab Specialist (f/m/d) 80-100%

ABB seeks an R&D Testing & Lab Specialist in Schaffhausen to support electrification and smart buildings projects through rigorous product testing and documentation.

This position supports the Electrification, Smart Buildings, and Energy Distribution divisions based in Schaffhausen. The specialist reports directly to the R&D Team Lead and plays a key role in validating product performance and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Configure and perform tests on various products using established methodologies and specific requirements.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all test outcomes.
• Help plan and carry out comprehensive test strategies.
• Detect product non-conformities and propose effective corrective solutions.
• Facilitate external certification inspections by assisting inspectors during testing phases for ABB or client products.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or Techniker HF qualification in electrical or electronic engineering.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems and measurement instrumentation.
• Proven ability to assemble, configure, and operate testing setups.
• Fluent proficiency in both spoken and written German.

• Working knowledge of English.
