R&D Test Engineer Instrumentation (m/f/d), (80-100%)

Accelleron Industries seeks a mid-level R&D Test Engineer Instrumentation to support product development through testing and instrumentation of turbochargers. The role involves planning, executing, and documenting tests in Baden, Switzerland, with hybrid work options and a focus on sustainability and innovation.

The company supports customers worldwide with mission-critical innovations and operates test centers in Baden. As part of the Instrumentation team, you will help develop and maintain testing infrastructure for turbochargers, contributing to product development and experimental studies conducted both in-house and at customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead instrumentation activities for turbochargers and test rigs, coordinating with manufacturing and assembly teams.
• Carry out, assess, and document testing procedures on turbochargers and their components.
• Design mechanical modifications and sensor setups for turbocharger parts.
• Provide technical guidance and support to test and development teams.
• Share insights and findings to contribute to product development efforts.
• Manage and lead instrumentation-related projects.
• Coordinate and schedule tasks within your team and across departments.
• Participate in cross-functional development and infrastructure initiatives.
• Improve measurement techniques and testing infrastructure, including strain, vibration, temperature, and data transmission from rotating systems.
• Develop and take ownership of your own technical expertise area.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or graduate degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of measurement technology principles.
• Experience designing with CAD software, preferably CATIA.
• Fluency in both German and English.
• High flexibility and strong organizational abilities.
• Team-oriented, results-driven approach with a proactive mindset.

Nice to have

• Prior experience with turbomachinery is beneficial.
