Lonza seeks an HR Intern to analyze workforce data, support HR dashboards, and research future-of-work trends. The role focuses on strategic HR topics and business impact.

This internship provides hands-on experience with strategic HR initiatives that connect business performance, organizational effectiveness, and evolving workplace dynamics. The position is tailored for individuals interested in understanding how human resources functions drive tangible business results.

Responsibilities

• Analyze workforce metrics such as performance, retention risks, and engagement levels to generate actionable insights.
• Help create HR dashboards, executive summaries, and stakeholder presentations.
• Research emerging workplace trends, including AI integration, skill development, and agile structures.
• Assist with leadership development programs and culture transformation efforts.
• Document and refine capability frameworks, development journeys, and stretch assignments.
• Participate in team meetings, summarize discussions, and monitor action plans.
• Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and business stakeholders across functions.
• Propose ideas to enhance processes, employee experience, and organizational effectiveness.
• Prepare reports and presentation materials for leadership discussions.
• Manage multiple priorities using structured time management techniques.
• Support administrative and coordination tasks with a focus on continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a degree program in HR, Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, or a related discipline.
• Possess a strong analytical mindset with an interest in business strategy and talent management.
• Demonstrate the ability to navigate ambiguity and think in systems rather than focusing solely on tasks.
• Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, with specific competence in Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice to have

• German language proficiency.
• Prior experience with HR analytics tools.
