Takeda Pharma AG seeks an In-field Market Access Manager in Zürich to lead market access strategies for Switzerland, focusing on the German-speaking region and key accounts.
This position is primarily field-based with nationwide responsibility, concentrating on the German-speaking part of Switzerland. The incumbent leads the execution of market access strategies at both the country and key-account levels, covering the full Takeda portfolio which includes Immunoglobulins, priority brands, and established products.
Responsibilities
- Converts franchise and portfolio goals into concrete market access strategies, value propositions, and detailed account plans.
- Establishes and sustains robust relationships with payers, healthcare authorities, regulators, hospitals, health insurers, buying groups, and industry associations.
- Gains a thorough understanding of stakeholder requirements and leverages these insights to shape portfolio decisions and engagement tactics.
- Identifies potential access barriers and resolves issues related to reimbursement, policy, funding, and cost-containment.
- Manages negotiations, tenders, contracting processes, and other critical access activities with hospitals and buying groups.
- Assists in implementing pricing models and access pathways in compliance with Article 71 KVV regulations.
- Serves as a reliable contact for key decision-makers, enhancing Takeda’s standing within the healthcare ecosystem.
- Facilitates cross-functional collaboration with Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, Finance, Public Affairs, and regional or global teams.
- Transforms field and stakeholder insights into strategic recommendations that improve patient access and portfolio value.
- Prioritizes resources and opportunities across accounts and regions, monitors execution, and achieves measurable results.
- Participates in portfolio and lifecycle management activities, including specific tender negotiations.
- Ensures all activities adhere to Takeda policies, ethical standards, and applicable healthcare regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in life sciences, health economics, business, or a related field.
- More than two years of experience in market access, pricing, and reimbursement.
- Strong understanding of the Swiss healthcare system, including reimbursement pathways, funding mechanisms, tariff structures, and care delivery models.
- Knowledge of HTA, HEOR, payer decision-making, and healthcare policy.
- Fluency in German and English, written and spoken, is required.
- Professional proficiency in French is also required.
Nice to have
- Experience with tendering, contracting, and negotiations involving Swiss hospitals or healthcare buying groups.
