Siemens seeks an Integration Specialist in Zürich to design and maintain enterprise integrations, primarily involving Workday, supporting a global ecosystem.
This position plays a key part in evolving a complex enterprise ecosystem that serves thousands of users worldwide. The specialist will engage in international projects, collaborating with colleagues across the globe to ensure seamless connectivity between systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and sustain connections between Workday and other enterprise applications.
- Translate business and technical needs into effective integration solutions.
- Partner with global IT and business teams to define requirements and propose technical approaches.
- Manage change requests, enhancements, and troubleshooting for existing integration workflows.
- Develop and update interface specifications, field mappings, process flows, and technical documentation.
- Monitor system performance, identify potential risks, and resolve integration issues promptly.
- Take part in testing, deployment, and ongoing support phases.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within Siemens' global integration landscape.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Two to five years of professional experience with application integrations, interfaces, or enterprise systems.
- Proficiency in XML, JSON, and data transformation methodologies.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, SOAP services, WSDL, and web service integrations.
- Hands-on experience with SQL and data validation tasks.
- Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data integration principles.
- Knowledge of secure file transfer mechanisms and integration best practices.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications in a multinational setting.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Nice to have
- Prior experience with Workday integrations or Workday data structures.
- Knowledge of JSLT or other transformation languages.
- Background working with HR systems, ERP platforms, or cloud-based enterprise applications.
