The company seeks an International Payroll Specialist based in Lugano to manage global payroll operations from Switzerland, ensuring compliance and accuracy across multiple jurisdictions.

EFG International, a global private banking group with a presence in over 40 locations, is looking for a specialist to oversee payroll operations from Switzerland. This role ensures accurate salary processing for international locations while supporting domestic employees and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end payroll cycle for selected international locations from the Swiss base, guaranteeing precise and punctual salary disbursements.
• Provide backup assistance for payroll tasks concerning staff located in Switzerland.
• Collaborate with external payroll vendors to guarantee adherence to local tax, social security, and labor rules in every relevant jurisdiction.
• Partner with HR and Finance teams to synchronize workflows, maintain accurate data interfaces, and troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Serve as the primary contact for payroll-related questions, delivering prompt assistance and upholding high data standards across all regions.
• Generate and examine payroll reports covering salaries, contributions, and tax obligations, while supplying necessary documentation for internal and external audits.
• Lead efforts to streamline and centralize HR and payroll procedures worldwide, performing routine audits of payroll costs to verify quality and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• Demonstrated background in handling payroll across several countries, preferably within an international or financial services setting.
• Solid understanding of international payroll workflows and regulatory obligations, including taxes, social security, and labor legislation, across various jurisdictions.
• Hands-on experience with payroll software and HR information systems, emphasizing precision in data management and operational consistency.
• Global perspective and prior experience collaborating within diverse, multicultural teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, capable of explaining complex payroll matters to non-expert colleagues.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in French and Italian is highly valued.
