Kandou seeks an MSc student for a 6-month internship in its Advanced R&D department to model communication systems, focusing on wireline technologies and signal processing.
This internship, situated within the Advanced R&D department, is designed for Master's students to spend up to six months investigating advanced communication architectures. The position focuses on creating behavioral models for wideband copper channels and transceivers, aiming to enhance the performance and efficiency of simultaneous bidirectional and full-duplex wireline systems.
Responsibilities
- Analyze current technologies in simultaneous bidirectional and full-duplex wireline communication.
- Create behavioral models for wideband copper channels and transceiver designs.
- Investigate self-interference cancellation methods in analog or digital domains.
- Assess how channel impairments, mismatches, and non-idealities affect link performance.
- Design and simulate essential components using Python or circuit-level CAD tools.
- Evaluate data rates, energy efficiency, and implementation complexity.
- Deliver findings through a technical report and an oral presentation.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled as a Master's student in Electrical, Communications, or Computer Engineering.
- Demonstrated strong expertise in signal processing and communications.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language: C++, MATLAB, or Python/NumPy.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of SerDes link components and clock recovery circuits.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
