Flexion Robotics in Zürich is seeking an intern to support the development of learning-based controllers for dexterous manipulation on humanoid robots. The role involves hands-on work with top engineers and researchers in robotics and reinforcement learning.

This internship focuses on advancing humanoid dexterous manipulation through learning-based control systems. The intern will collaborate with leading experts in manipulation, reinforcement learning, and motion generation, gaining practical experience in cutting-edge robotics research and development.

Responsibilities

  • Support the creation and deployment of learning-based controllers for dexterous manipulation on humanoid robots.
  • Participate in state-of-the-art robotics projects, from training models to deploying them on physical hardware.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a PhD program or nearing completion of a Master’s degree in robotics, core machine learning, computer vision, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and PyTorch.
  • Prior experience in dexterous manipulation or robot control, such as through a thesis or research project.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with diffusion models and reinforcement learning.
  • Experience deploying and debugging experiments on real robotic hardware.
  • Knowledge of ROS and perception models.
